Elisa, the healthiest foods, total calories and the way your meal plan is structured in the day are both important. For protein sources choose lean meats such as chicken, turkey, fish, cottage cheese, egg whites, eggs etc. For carbohydrates choose sources such as oatmeal, brown rice, whole grain rice, whole wheat pasta, fruits, vegetables etc. For fat sources go with olive oil, avocado, natural peanut butter.
